Marcel Schmid, the founder and Chairman of IFA Ltd., originally was a journalist and producer in the fields of print media, radio and TV. In 1993 he started to specialize in sports marketing and founded Art und Weise AG. He launched the International Football Arena conference in 1999. Marcel is also the chairman of Onegoal Ltd., a players’ management agency operating in the main football markets.
Assistant to the Chairman
Jasmina Sulic joined IFA in August 2013. After completing her commercial-banking apprenticeship at a local Swiss bank, she worked as an assistant in private banking, covering different markets such as Latin America & Asia. For four years she worked for the bank's International Booking Centre, assisting private bankers located in the United Kingdom. She is the PA of Marcel Schmid, founder of IFA.
Chief of Staff
Corinne Bernegger joined IFA in October 2012. After completing her commercial-banking apprenticeship, she worked in private banking for 10 years. For over 5 years she worked for the Sports & Entertainment Desk at various well-known private banks in Switzerland, taking care of international clients from the world of sports. She is the project manager of IFA Zurich.
Head of Business Development
Prior to joining IFA in September 2013, Pietro Bascio was the CEO of Ferrari & Maserati in Zurich following several years of work as Head of the Sports & Entertainment Desk for Swiss private banks (while acquiring an MBA). Pietro is also a member of the Board of Onegoal Ltd., a players' management agency operating in the main football markets.
Steven G. D. Hargitay, Partner, ecn Ltd, and Media & Communications Adviser to the International Football Arena Ltd. Steven studied law in Zurich, followed by a MassCom degree obtained from Goldsmith College of the University of London. After stints with the BBC and independent producers, he joined communications strategy advisers ecn Ltd. He continues to produce and co-produce documentaries, often with a sports content (such as the award-winning socio-political film "Fire in Babylon"), and focuses on communications and media issues for international clients.
